The following route takes you from the MRT to the forts on the far hillsides overlooking
town. Though only a few kilometres long, this route is so packed with history and land-
scapes it can take a whole morning or afternoon to cover.
Start by walking along the riverside and at the McDonald's literally cut through to
Zhongheng Rd. At 112 look for a lane leading up to a colourful wet market in the middle
