Sat & Sun; ; Technology Building) With a minimalist design making it look like a
cosy woodshed, a diverse Western menu and wi-fi, Duome is a top spot for a long after-
noon meal. The German sausage with slow-roasted tomatoes and mushrooms (and eggs
done your way) is a favourite.
Duome also makes great coffee and desserts. Italian dishes are on the dinner menu,
though this place is mostly known for brunch.

Mon-Thu, 9am-2pm Sat, to midnight Sun; ; Zhongxiao Dunhua) Being defiantly
anti-low-fat cheese, diet soda and credit cards seems at least part of what's won Toasteria
a loyal enough following that they now have two branches in the city. You can't go
wrong with the classic grilled cheese on wholemeal toast, but there's a wide selection of
other melts, as well as pastas and Western breakfasts.

Slack Season (which refers to the style of tangy noodles served during the fishing off-

pork, outrageously good fried shrimp rolls, and of course the noodles (a mere NT$50 per
bowl).
To get here take Exit 3 of the MRT and turn right on Lane 216 and again on Alley 8.
The restaurant is just down the alley. Look for the sign reading 'Since 1895'.
