In-Depth Information
managers have yet to embrace or push for a more
forward-leaning strategy that establishes restoration
as a central practice. Large landscape-level, multipart-
ner projects focused on both
ecological restoration
and
human well - being
are needed to truly sustain
whole ecosystems across geographic extents that
matter to both nature and people. However, while res-
toration still remains somewhat on the periphery of
forest management, it is continuously gaining accept-
ance and advancing towards the centre.
