In-Depth Information
Top tip 4 : Holders of the top-tier annual pass get complimentary Express Pass access after
4:00pm.
Top Tip 5 : During certain periods of the year there are Post-4:00pm Express Passes on
sale for only $36 - these are of course infinitely more valuable when the park is open until
10:00pm rather than 6:00pm. You will need to ask for these specifically as they will not be
listed in advance.
Top Tip 6: The “Park-To-Park Ticket + Universal Express Unlimited” ticket bundle works
out cheaper than purchasing park admission and Universal Express Unlimited access sep-
arately.
Top Tip 7: If you are staying on-site and get a free Hotel Express Pass, this only applies
during regular park hours. During extra-hours events where a separate admission ticket is
required such as Halloween Horror Nights you will need to purchase an event-specific Ex-
press Pass.
Top Tip 8: For a group of people it is often cheaper to get an on-site deluxe hotel for one
night allowing you Express Pass access for two days, rather than buying Express Passes for
each person.
Single Rider:
One of the best ways to significantly reduce your time waiting in queue lines is to use the
Single Rider line instead of the regular queue line. Essentially this is a completely separate
queue line that is used to fill free spaces on ride vehicles. For example if a ride vehicle can
seat 8 people and a group of 4 turns up, and then a group of 3 takes the other seats, then a
'single rider' will fill the empty space on the ride vehicle instead of that space going round
empty. This ultimately makes the wait times shorter for everyone in the park as all spaces
are utilized.
If the park does get extremely busy then sometimes single rider lines can be closed - this
happens when the wait in the single rider line is the same or greater than the regular line,
thereby undermining its purpose. If the park is almost empty then sometimes these lines do
not operate, as there is no need for them.
Some rides do not have an obviously signposted Single Rider line - in this case simply ask
the first attraction host you see (usually at the entrance to the attraction) if Single Rider is
operating. If it is, then they will direct you accordingly. One prime example of this is The
Incredible Hulk Coaster that does not advertise its single rider line - you have to ask for it.
The Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey single rider line can also be easily missed if
you do not ask for it at the entrance.
