This is an action-packed show with special effects at every opportunity. It is these effects,
ironically,thatarethemainproblemwiththeshowforus:theshowisjusteffectaftereffect
without a decent storyline meaning the overall, the show can be described as “meh”. If it
is raining, this show is a good bit of shelter but otherwise we would recommend giving it
a miss. In our opinion, this is the worst attraction in both parks. Note: To those who do not
like loud bangs, avoid this show!
The Mystic Fountain
This is listed as an attraction on the map, but we would hesitate to really call it one. Essen-
tially it a fountain that you can interact with and talk to. The fountain is usually very witty
and it can be a good source of laughs. Beware though; the fountain loves to get people wet!
Restaurants:
Mythos Restaurant - Table Service location. Accepts Universal Dining Plan. Serves sand-
wiches, Shortribs, Asian Salmon and Mahi Mahi. Entrees priced $13 to $20. This is our
favorite restaurant in the park. Note: Mythos is only open for lunch.
Fire Eater's Grill - Quick Service location. Accepts Universal Dining Plan. Serves hot
dogs, chicken fingers, grilled gyro and salads. Entrees priced $8 to $9. Surprisingly large
portions.
Fun fact: Behind Mythos Restaurant there is a bridge. Stand under it and you might just
get to hear a troll!
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Hogsmeade
This was the addition to the park that truly put Universal Orlando on the world theme park
map and made it a must-visit. Here you can step into the world of Harry Potter and exper-
ience what it is like to visit Hogsmeade - dine there, visit the shops and experience some
wildrides.TheareaisincrediblywellthemedandPotterfanswillbeseeauthenticityunlike
anywhere else. Throughout this guide you may see The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
abbreviated to WWOHP.
To avoid any misconception we would like to clarify that this is just a land, albeit a very
well themed one, and NOT an entire theme park as some of the press have reported in the
past. It also existed several years before the Diagon Alley are opened over in the neighbor-
ing park.
