Islands of Adventure - Park Guide:
Universal's Islands of Adventure
opened in 1999 with many famed attractions instantly put-
ting it on the world theme park map - we would argue even more so that
Universal Studios
Florida
itself. The true revolution for the park, however, came with the opening of
The Wiz-
arding World of Harry Potter,
andexpansionandinnovationhasnotstoppedsince.Thepark
hosted 8.1 million guests in 2013 making it the more popular of the two Universal Orlando
theme parks.
Port of Entry
Perhaps the most beautiful entrance to a theme park in America,
Port of Entry
transports you
to a different time and place and shows that Universal really
does
think about its theming,
despite what some lovers of other theme parks may say. There are no attractions in this area
of the park but rather it acts as an entranceway to the islands of adventure themselves. You
will find shops and few places to eat in this area.
To the right of the welcome arch at
Port of Entry
you will find
Guest Services
where you
can get assistance with any guest issues including disability assistance, dining reservations,
questions, compliments and complaints.
Lost and Found
is also located here.
Lockers
, a
phone card vending machine
and a
payphone
are all located to the left of the
archway.
Strollers
and
wheelchair rentals
can also be found here.
