In-Depth Information
The queue line is also really good and contains several interactive elements. For example,
there is a scarab beetle that you can press in the queue line whilst watching other guests
via a screen. If you press the beetle, the on-screen guests will feel a quick blast of air from
underneath them, guaranteed to give them a fright. But beware where you put your hands
in line, as the treasure you see around you may not be all you think it is and you might just
be in for a surprise or two.
Fun fact: The Mummy ride replaced Kongfrontation (a ride based on King Kong), which
was once housed in the same building so a statue of the great ape has been left behind as a
tribute in the treasure room.
The Blues Brothers Show
Get ready to see Jake and Elwood, the Blues Brothers themselves, take to the stage in this
non-traditional show. Unlike other shows where you have to arrive in good time and sit in
a show-style amphitheater, the Blues Brothers Show is simply on a small stall in a street in
the New York area of the park. This show is a little bit lower key than others and has more
of a street-mosphere feel to it. You can turn up just before the show starts and get a perfect
view so there is no need to plan to see this one. Crowds are not very big and most people
just walk in and out during the show. This is not one of our favorite shows in the park to be
perfectly honest.
