mean longer operating hours, whereas not so busy periods mean the parks will shut earlier.
Ride refurbishments also happen throughout the year in order to keep rides operating safely
and efficiently. As the Universal Orlando Resort does not close for several months on end
to refurbish rides like some other theme parks, rides and attractions must close throughout
the year in order to be renewed. Refurbishments tend to avoid the busier times of the year.
Be sure to check in advance to avoid disappointment with ride closures though unfortu-
nately these are only published a month or so in advance - these can be checked on the
same page where the operating hours are posted.
Ride Height Requirements
Many attractions at the universal Orlando resort have height requirements meaning that not
everyone in your party may be able to enjoy every attraction height requirements are put in
place for the safety of all guests to ensure they fit in the ride vehicles correctly. You will
need to be measured at the entrance to each ride by a ride operator if you may be close to
the height limit - their word is final. This section helpfully lists all attractions (except those
without height requirements) in ascending order of height. Next to each attraction name
you will find USF or IOA denoting whether the attraction is in Universal Studios Florida
or in Universal's Islands of Adventure.

Guests over 56 inches (1.43m) must be accompanied by someone under 36
