In-Depth Information
- those which we have listed were correct as of when we ate at the locations and should
merely be taken as examples.
1. Three Broomsticks (Islands of Adventure) - Everything about this restaurant puts it top
of the pile of quick service locations: the atmosphere, the food and its opening hours. Three
Broomsticks is open for all three meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner and is the only restaur-
ant inside The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Hogsmeade. Entrees are priced between
$8 and $15. Breakfast entrees include breakfasts from around the world: English, Amer-
ican and Continental Europe just to name a few. Lunch and dinner fare revolves around
British dishes with some American classics available too. You will find Cornish pasties,
fish & chips, shepherd's pie, as well as smoked turkey legs, rotisserie smoked chicken and
spareribs.
2. Thunder Falls Terrace (Islands of Adventure) - This is another restaurant where the at-
mosphere really brings you into the story. Step foot into Thunder Falls and you are right in
the middle of the world of Jurassic Park - and you get a spectacular view of the River Ad-
venture ride splashdown from the wall of glass diving the restaurant and the Jurassic world
outside. Entrees are priced between $9 and $16. You will find cheeseburgers on sale, as
well as ribs, smoked turkey legs, wraps, as well as rotisserie chicken. The portion sizes are
large at this restaurant. The rotisserie chicken has been extremely dry every time we have
eaten there so we cannot recommend that particular item, but the ribs are much better!
3. Louie's Italian Restaurant (Universal Studios Florida) - As far as pizzas and pasta go
for inside the theme parks, Louie's does it best. Outside the parks Red Oven Pizza Bakery
does pizza even better (another way of getting a quick honorable mention in this section).
Although there is not a huge variety of food on offer at Louie's and it is not particularly
healthy, what it does do it does very well. Entrees are priced between $6 and $14. You can
also order a full pizza pie to share for between $29 and $36. Food on offer includes spa-
ghetti and meatballs, pizza and fettuccine alfredo. The meatballs are surprisingly good for
a theme park quick service location, as are the pizzas.
4. Krusty Burger (Universal Studios Florida) - If you want the slimiest of burgers then
this is the place to go. Designed to be exactly as “artery-clogging” as the burgers are in
'The Simpsons' cartoons, Krusty Burger will not win any awards for being exotic but this
location hands down has the best-tasting burgers at Universal. Entrees are priced between
$8 and $13 with fries included. As well as burgers, you will find barbecue rib sandwiches
and hot dogs.
