elsewhere in the economy. If wheat could be grown indoors, wheat farming would begin
to look like automobile manufacturing or broiler production. Massive factory production
in grains, however, seems unlikely. To be sure, farms will continue to get larger in acreage
and output, and there will be fewer farm families. But this does not imply a fundamental
change in firm structure. This is neither good nor bad, just evidence of the invisible hand at
work in the organization of an industry.
