Wireless charging
Apple Watch is too small to include a USB or Lightning Connector port charging
connector; any holes or ports would also enable water to penetrate the case. So instead of
relying on physical ports for recharging, the ceramic back plate acts as the wireless
charging point. Using MagSafe technology along with inductive charging, you simply
need to hold the charging connector near the back of Apple Watch and it will snap into
place automatically. That means you can charge Apple Watch in the dark, without even
looking.
Apple Watch will charge fully in 2.5 hours, although a charge to 80% will take only 1.5
hours.
