In-Depth Information
Conceptual work within the preparation of thematic atlas is one of the
crucial factors that decide about the success of the atlas project. The cartog-
raphers must not underestimate cooperation with thematicians, they must
clarify the aim and purpose of the atlas, they have to define the aspects of
the atlas and carefully follow preserving the relationships within the atlas. All
these must be done while compiling a cartographic atlas project, thus before
his own atlas compilation. This means—think before you draw.
