Availability & Cost of Health Care
Health-care costs will vary widely depending on your insurance. Be sure to travel with
your insurance card and know the co-payments and conditions of coverage before travel-
ing.
Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone Park Medical Services operates three clinics:
Lake Hospital (
307-242-7241;
8:30am-8:30pm mid-May-mid-Sep) Has a 24-hour
emergency service through
911.
Mammoth Clinic (
307-344-7965;
8:30am-5pm) The only year-round clinic.
NPS emergency medics ( 307-344-2132) On call 24 hours a day, year-round. First aid
is available at visitor centers and ranger stations. In an emergency, call
911. Emergency
messages can be left on boards at park entrances and visitor centers.
