Drinking
Jackson isn't exactly a wild-night-out kind of town; our guess is that most folks are
tuckered from playing all day. But happy hours are exceptionally lively, and a good way
to sample the finer restaurants with small plates and cheap prices.
Cadillac Grille
Offline map
( 307-733-3279; 55 N Cache) Locals in fleece and Carhartts pile around the island bar
for two-for-one happy hours from 5pm to 7pm, complemented by a Billy burger served
from next door. Those feeling fancy will appreciate the tantalizing martini menu and cala-
mari and oyster appetizers.
BAR
Snake River Brewing Co $$
Offline map
( 307-739-2337; 265 S Millward St; mains $6-15; 11:30am-midnight) With an ar-
senal of 22 microbrews made onsite, some award- winning, it is no wonder that this is a
favorite rendezvous spot. Happy hour is from 4pm to 6pm.
BREW PUB
Million Dollar Cowboy Bar
Offline map
(25 N Cache Dr; cover $5) Most can't wait to plunk their hind quarters on a saddle stool
in this dark chop house, an obligatory stop on the Western tour. Weekends get lively when
the dance floor sparks up and karaoke drones.
