backdrop of the jagged Tetons, this ranch on the eastern flanks of the park was started in
1926 by the Turner family, who still run it now. Cabins with wood interiors are immacu-
late, and activity options - from square dancing and trout fishing to Dutch-oven cookouts
- keep guests out enjoying the fresh air. Cabins have one to three bedrooms and prices
drop with larger groups. Summer visits require a weeklong minimum. Kids get special at-
tention with their own dining hall and a 'Little Wrangler' program, featuring horseback
riding, swimming and crafts. Winter rates are a steal.

friendly young staff, a varied and tasty menu and a slew of activities for adults and kids
alike. Rides are for all abilities. Visits require a five-night minimum and children get dis-
counted rates. It's located between the Tetons and Yellowstone, 18 miles north of Jackson
