ident Hardy or Clark Gable snuggled in one of the basic timber rooms here but it's this
sense of history that might just draw you to this creaky 1912 hostel. Rooms are simple but
clean and most share a bathroom down the hall. The lobby hides behind a labyrinth of
souvenir crap; detour to find the lounge with retro armchairs and bear skins on the wall.
Nonguests are free to poke around unoccupied rooms before 6pm. Give the motel rooms a
miss.
