Activities
West Yellowstone hosts a range of cultural and sporting events, from summer rodeo
( www.yellowstonerodeo.com ; adult/child $12/6) and mountain-man rendezvous to the
Spam Cup, a series of ski races in which the lucky winner receives a free can of preserved
pork products.
Summer
Both the Rendezvous and Riverside trail systems offer great mountain biking and trail
running when the snow melts. The chamber of commerce sponsors a fall cycle tour
( www.cycleyellowstone.com ; fee $55) to Old Faithful with part of the proceeds going to
charity. These fully supported trips (with a van and repair assistance) are a lot of fun and
are geared toward a range of abilities.
