Checking a bore for accuracy
A bore usually needs to be an exact size so we need a method of measuring
the bore. The simple way could be to use the actual component that fits into
the hole if it is short enough, but this may not be possible if the component is
very long and difficult to handle, in which case we have to make a gauge or
use a measuring instrument.
