In-Depth Information
the head cannot be moved, the shims keeping the head square in this direc-
tion.
Squaring the head up in the moveable direction is usually a matter of trial
and error, moving the head an absolute minimum until it is square. Once it is
square, if at all possible do not move the head out of square. This may not
always be possible but try to do this. Eventually the head will become out of
square, possibly because of a heavy cut, so do check regularly that the head
has not moved, especially before a job requiring extreme accuracy.
