You can pretty
much imbibe the beer off the wallpaper in Seattle's oldest surviving pub: it's been of-
fering liquor since 1888, when the city was a youthful 37 years old. Once a speakeasy
and allegedly haunted, it still manages a shaky juxtaposition of traditional saloon (pin-
ball and other vintage games) and modern bar (punk rock and tattoos).
