In-Depth Information
( 206-381-3094; www.elcorazonseattle.com ; 109 Eastlake Ave E; 70) Formerly the Off-
Ramp, then Graceland, El Corazon has lots of history echoing around its walls - and
lots of sweaty, beer-drenched bodies bouncing off them. Save your clean shirt for an-
other night, and don't expect perfect sound quality at every show. The gutsy bands play
loud, presumably to drown out the traffic noise from I-5 just outside the door.
The venue is etched in grunge-era mythology. Pearl Jam, then going under the name
of Mookie Blaylock, played their first ever gig here in October 1990.
