Alla Lapidus coordinated and oversaw the assembly of the genome. William S. Feil,
Helene Feil, and Genevieve Di Bartolo did the initial assembly of the genome. Ken-
nan Kellaris Salinero conducted genome assembly, sequence finishing and gap clo-
sure activities, and created the final assembly. Stephan Trong provided internal Joint
Genome Institute assembly and analysis tools, and support in their use. Keith Keller
was involved in the semi-automated genome annotation, and provided support for the
VIMSS dataset and data lists from that set. Kennan Kellaris Salinero conducted all
manual annotation work and protein family analyses described here-in. All authors
have read and approved the final manuscript.
