Each of these procedures, to the maximum extent possible, has been
developed in a format that calls for the maintenance technician to per-
form three basic duties:
1. Investigate : Requires the technician to thoroughly inspect the com-
ponent and defines conditions to look for.
2. Evaluate : For each condition identified, there are one or more prob-
able causes that should be evaluated.
3. Maintain : Perform specific maintenance preventative procedures
plus additional procedures indicated by the condition(s) identified.
