Semi-skilled or “helper” level maintenance worker who performs
under the general supervision of a higher level technician.

Minimum Education 2-year Associate Degree, completion of apprentice
program, or military training in the a specific
maintenance craft.
15 hours, minimum, each year of additional instruction
in one or more craft areas.

All skills required of Level I technician.
Skill Set
Knowledge and understand of building codes, facility
standards, and applicable regulations for a specific craft.
Capable of performance of basic preventative
maintenance procedures within one or more craft areas
with minimal supervision.
Capable of training, supervising, and directing Level I
technicians.

Craft Skill Set
Review blueprints and building codes and specifications
to determine work details and procedures.
Study building plans and inspect structures to assess
material and equipment needs, to establish the sequence
of pipe installations, and to plan installation around
obstructions such as electrical wiring.
