Outdoor Activities
Atlantic Canada does a good job of harnessing its cliffy, marine-mammal-
ed terrain for outdoor adventures. Visitors can now get out in the sun (or
rain or fog) to hike, kayak, whale watch or even surf. The season is short
for most activities (May to October in a good year), but you'll find plenty of
tour operators eager to help. It's also easy to arrange independent adven-
tures.
