Bus
The only cities in the region with municipal bus services are Fredericton, Saint John,
Moncton, Halifax, Sydney and St John's. The Annapolis Valley has an excellent regional
bus service between Wolfville and Bridgetown. Elsewhere the private car is king.
Taxi
Taxis usually are metered, with a flag-fall fee of $2.70 and a per-kilometer charge around
$1.75. Drivers expect a tip of between 10% and 15%. Taxis can be flagged down or
ordered by phone.
Tours
Group travel can be an enjoyable way to go, especially if you're traveling solo. Try to pick
a tour that will suit you in terms of age, interest and activity level.
