New London & Park Corner
New London and Park Corner both have strong ties to Lucy Maud Montgomery, and are
thus caught up in the everything-Anne pandemonium. The most charming place to stop
for a bite to eat and a cup of tea is the Blue Winds Tea Room ( 902-886-2860; 10746
Rte 6, New London; meals $10-14; 11am-6pm Mon-Thu, to 8pm Fri-Sun) about 500m southwest
of Lucy Maud Montgomery's birthplace and surrounded by English gardens. Of course
like everything else in this region, they've got to be 'Anne,' so order a raspberry cordial
or some New Moon Pudding - both recipes have been taken from Lucy Maud's journals.
