rive. While 80% of sites can be booked in advance, the remaining sites are first-come,
first-served, so it's wise to arrive early.
Stanhope Campground , on Gulfshore East Pkwy, is nestled nicely in the woods be-
hind the beach of the same name. There is a well-stocked store on-site.
Robinsons Island Campground , also on Gulfshore East Pkwy, is open from late
June. The most isolated of the three sites, it's set at the end of Brackley Point. It's not too
much fun if the wind gets up.
The proximity of Cavendish Campground , off Rte 6, to the sights makes it the most
popular. It has exposed oceanfront sites and ones within the shelter and shade of the
trees. Don't be lured by the view - it's nice, but sleep is better.
