Old Court House Museum MUSEUM

Court House Museum displays artifacts related to early farming and housekeeping. It
also offers tourist information and guides to hiking trails.

never all taken. From the picnic area on the highway below the campground, a footbridge
leads to a small island on the coast about 12km north of Guysborough.

Canso
Mainland North America's oldest seaport is a cluster of boxy fishermen's houses on a
treeless bank of Chedabucto Bay. Long dependent on the fishery, Canso has been decim-
ated by emigration and unemployment since the northern cod stocks collapsed around
1990.
