Drinking & Entertainment
A lot of touring bands make the trek to Sydney. Fiddlers and other traditional musicians
from the west coast of the island perform here or at the Savoy in Glace Bay. Gigs are
about $12.
Governors Pub & Eatery PUB

lar place in Sydney, stop in to mingle with the after-work crowd for drinks, dine on gour-
met pub grub made with local ingredients, and stay on for live-music events like Wed-

Getting There & Away
The Sydney airport is none too busy. Air Canada flies between Sydney and Halifax,
while Westjet has direct Toronto flights. Air St-Pierre ( 877-277-7765, 902-562-3140;
www.airsaintpierre.com ) flies to St-Pierre ($250 one-way, two hours) on Thursdays and
Sundays from early July to early September.
Bay Luxury Shuttle ( Click here ) has shuttle services to Halifax.
