Shopping
Parrsboro Rock & Mineral
Shop ROCKS & MINERALS
( 902-254-2981; 39 Whitehall Rd; 9am-9pm Mon-Sat, to 5pm Sun May-Nov) Browse the
collection of prehistoric reptile fossils and semiprecious stones from Parrsboro and
around the world. There's even a one-of-a-kind fossilized footprint of the world's smal-
lest dinosaur, found by the proprietor, Eldon George. If Eldon is there, don't miss the
chance to chat with him - he's one of Parrsboro's favorite characters.
Tysons' Fine Minerals ROCKS & MINERALS
( 902-254-2376; 249 Whitehall Rd; from 10am) This place is more like a museum than a
shop, with some of the most sparkling, massive and colorful minerals on display you're
likely to see anywhere. Sometimes Helen takes visitors in to see the Tysons' private col-
lection, which is even more breathtaking.
