4.37 provides a good description of the variance pattern for all three
sites, especially at large mean travel distance. For the Borden site experi-
ment, the fitted curve underestimates the variance at the initial stage of
transport. Perhaps, Equation 4.37 is not applicable to the initial stages of
transport.
