Sleeping
While it's tempting to save money by staying elsewhere, the value of staying at a Walt
Disney World resort lies in the conveniences they offer. WDW has 24 family-friendly
sleeping options, from camping to deluxe resorts, and Disney guests receive great perks
(extended park hours, discount dining plans, free transportation, airport shuttles). Dis-
ney's thorough website outlines rates and amenities for every property. Don't expect the
quality of the room and amenities to match the price: you're paying for Walt Disney
World convenience, not for Ritz-like luxury.
One of our favorite deluxe resorts is the Yosemite-style Wilderness Lodge (
407-824-3200; 901 Timberline Dr; r from $319; ) ; the 'rustic opulence' theme in-
cludes erupting geysers, a lakelike swimming area and bunk beds for the kids. And for
wilderness on a budget, we love the Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground (
407-824-2900; campsites $54-120, cabins from $325;
) with tent sites and cabins
that sleep up to six people.
Disney's Value Resorts ( https://disneyworld.disney.go.com ; r $90-150) are the least-ex-
pensive option (besides camping); quality is equivalent to basic chain hotels, and (fair
warning) they are favored by school groups.
Disney's Art of Animation Resort HOTEL
( 407-938-7000; 1850 Animation Way; ) Inspired by animated Disney classics includ-
ing The Lion King, Cars, Finding Nemo and The Little Mermaid .
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort HOTEL

407-939-7000; 1991 Buena Vista Dr;
) Icons from Disney movies including Toy St-
ory and 101 Dalmatians .
Disney's All-Star Music Resort HOTEL

407-939-6000; 1801 W Buena Vista Dr;
) Family suites and motel rooms surrounded
by giant instruments.
