Jacksonville
Are we there yet? Have we left yet? It's hard to tell, because Jacksonville sprawls out
over a whopping 840 sq miles, making it the largest city by area in the continental US
(eclipsed only by Anchorage, AK). Jacksonville Beach, known locally as 'Jax Beach,' is
about 17 miles east of the city center and is where you'll find white sand and most of the
action. For information, peruse www.visitjacksonville.com .
