The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV; www.savannahairport.com ) is about
5 miles west of downtown off I-16. Taxis from the airport to the Historic District cost a
standard $28. Greyhound ( www.greyhound.com ; 610 W Oglethorpe Ave) has connections to

You won't need a car. It's best to park and walk. Chatham Area Transit (CAT;

free shuttle (the Dot) that makes its way around the Historic District and stops within a
couple of blocks of nearly every major site.
