An aptly named, upscale, carnivorous kitchen with a gorgeous bar
area. The burger is top shelf, the fried quail comes with braised greens and a cornbread
waffle, the shrimp and grits is curry spiced, and the hanger steak is a classic. This is a
chophouse, pure and simple, complete with laid-back swank.

Widely considered the top restaurant in the city at research time, the
menu rotates daily and you may choose from six dishes for each of the five courses. Start
with a Hawaiian hamachi with preserved lemon shoyu and raddish or perhaps a foie gras
confit. Move into a Gulf crab fritter, a sweet-potato angilotti or poached halibut.
Then comes the lamb strip steak or quail or local Berkshire pork and winter kale, be-
fore the decadent cheese course and dessert. The atmosphere verges on chilly. Reserve
ahead.
