a lot of annoying rules at Little Serrow. There's no phone, and no reservations. It only al-
lows groups of four or less, and you'll be lining up around the block. And what for? Su-
perlative Northern Thai cuisine. The single-option menu changes by the week; you might
get chicken livers and long peppers, or shrimp paste, eggplant and chilies, or pig ears
garnished with mint. Every dish comes with mountains of heaping fresh herbs.

Dupont Circle) There's an admirable simplicity to Komi's changing menu, which is
rooted in Greece and influenced by everything - primarily genius. Suckling pig for two;
scallops and truffles; a roasted baby goat. Komi's fairytale of a dining space doesn't take
groups larger than four, and you need to reserve way in advance - like, now.

beautiful corner of the Palisades, northwest of Georgetown. While the name suggests
French, this spot leans a little north to Belgium. Dishes such as rib eye with frites , lobster
risotto and roasted chicken have a hearty, rustic heft coupled with a refined execution.
The atmosphere is supremely intimate.
