Mon-Fri, 8am-7pm Sat & Sun; ; Dupont Circle) On a quiet street in Dupont, Filter is
a jewel-box-sized cafe with a tiny front patio, a hipsterish laptop-toting crowd and,
most importantly, great coffee. Those who seek caffeinated perfection can get a
decent flat white here.
Capitol Hill
H St NE forms a continuous stretch of restaurants and bars, and becomes a nightlife mir-
acle mile come weekends. To get to H St, you can either walk from Union Station (H &
14th, which is the far end of the strip, is 1.3 miles away), or take a free H St shuttle from
Gallery Place-Chinatown and Minnesota Ave Metro stops. The shuttle runs from 5pm
until Metro rail closes (midnight on weekdays, 3am on weekends). And 8th St SE near
Eastern Market - also known as Barracks Row - is also packed with restaurants and bars.
Eastern Market MARKET$
(225 7th St SE; 7am-7pm Tue-Fri, to 6pm Sat, 9am-5pm Sun) One of the icons of Capitol

text when your table's ready. Despite the name, Toki Underground is on the 2nd floor.
It's not marked; look for the Pug bar sign - the restaurant is above it.
