memorial depicts a patrol of ghostly steel soldiers marching by a wall of etched faces
from that conflict; seen from a distance, the images on the wall form the outline of the
Korean mountains.

ing Pool (and, controversially, the center of the Mall - the only war memorial to have
that distinction), the National WWII Memorial honors the 400,000 Americans who died
in the war, along with the 16 million US soldiers who served during the conflict. Stirring
quotes are sprinkled about the monument.

Jamestown and take a wander through the 18th century at Williamsburg , followed
