Getting There & Away
Getting in and out of Boston is easy. The train and bus stations are conveniently side by
side, and the airport is a short subway ride away.
AIR
Logan International Airport ( 800-235-6426; www.massport.com/logan ) , just across Bo-
ston Harbor from the city center, is served by major US and foreign airlines and has full
services.
BUS
South Station (700 Atlantic Ave) is the terminal for an extensive network of long-distance
buses operated by Greyhound and regional bus companies.
GETTING TO NYC
The cheapest travel between Boston and NYC is by bus. Yo! Bus ( www.yobus.com ; one-
way $12-28; ; South Station) runs six buses a day from South Station, while Go Buses
( www.gobuses.com ; one-way from $15;
; Alewife) depart from Cambridge.
TRAIN
MBTA Commuter Rail ( 800-392-6100, 617-222-3200; www.mbta.com ) trains connect Bo-
ston's North Station with Concord and Salem and Boston's South Station with Plymouth
and Providence.
The Amtrak ( 800-872-7245; www.amtrak.com ; South Station) terminal is at South Sta-
tion; trains to New York cost $73 to $126 (4¼ hours) or $147 on the speedier Acela Ex-
press (3½ hours).
Getting Around
TO/FROM THE AIRPORT
Logan International Airport is just a few miles from downtown Boston: take the blue-line
subway or the silver-line bus.
