Seaport District
Following the HarborWalk, it's a pleasant stroll across the Northern Ave Bridge and into
the up-and-coming Seaport District.
Institute of Contemporary Art MUSEUM

matic building of the ICA is a work of art in itself: a glass structure cantilevered over a
waterside plaza. The light-filled interior allows for unique exhibitions and programs, in-
cluding multimedia presentations and performance art. Most importantly, it allows for
the development of the ICA's permanent collection, which has focused on artists featured
in past exhibits.
Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum MUSEUM

tion and restoration, the Tea Party Ships are now moored at the reconstructed Griffin's
Wharf, alongside a shiny new museum dedicated to the revolution's most catalytic event.
Interactive exhibits allow visitors to meet re-enactors in period costume, explore the
ships, learn about contemporary popular perceptions through multimedia presentations
and even participate in the protest.
Chinatown, Theater District & South End
Compact Chinatown offers enticing Asian eateries placed cheek by jowl, while the over-
lapping Theater District is clustered with performing-arts venues. To the west, the
sprawling South End boasts one of America's largest concentrations of Victorian row
houses, a burgeoning art community and a terrific restaurant scene.
Back Bay
Extending west from Boston Common, this well-groomed neighborhood boasts graceful
brownstone residences, grand edifices and the tony shopping mecca of Newbury St.
