There's a slew of inns and B&Bs in Amish country and virtually every national motel
chain is represented along a strip-mall-filled stretch of Rte 30/Lincoln Hwy just east of
Lancaster.
General Sutter Inn INN$

bones of this atmospheric and charming inn anchoring one end of Lititz's main street
date to 1764. Ten wood-floored and cheerful rooms are tastefully furnished with an-
tiques. A new top-floor annex called the Rock Lititz Penthouse has six, decidedly mod-
ern suites with a playful rock-and-roll theme. Attached is the extremely popular craft-
beer-centric Bull's Head Pub.

check out this website which represents several dozen farm stays that range from stereo-
typical B&Bs to Amish farms. Most include breakfast, private bathrooms and some
activity like milking cows or gathering eggs or simply petting a goat.
Fulton Steamboat Inn HOTEL$$$

hotel in landlocked Amish country seems like a gimmick even if the inventor of the
steamboat was born nearby. The slight kitsch works, however. From shiny brass old-
timey light fixtures to painterly wallpaper, the hotel's interior is rather elegant and its
rooms are spacious and comfy.

There's nothing very hobo-esque about a night's sleep in one of these 25-ton cabooses -
