Italy, this cheery Park Slope trattoria serves handmade pastas and belly-warming classics
(braised rabbit with buttery polenta). There's an excellent brunch (duck confit hash!) and
a long list of Italian wines.
Roberta's PIZZA$$$

consistently produces some of the best pizza in New York. Service can be lackadaisical
and the waits long, but the brick-oven pies are the right combination of chewy and fresh.

tage spot in Carroll Gardens comes with lots of old-world flavor. The menu is all
late-19th-century German, focusing on house-cured butchered meats and items like slow-
braised beef sauerbraten with red cabbage.
Drinking & Nightlife
Watering holes come in many forms in this city: sleek lounges, pumping clubs, cozy
pubs and booze-soaked dives - no smoke, though, thanks to city law. The majority are
open to 4am, though closing (and opening) times do vary; most nightclubs are open from
