Evelo's B&B B&B$

rooms creak and charm in this polished-wood-filled Victorian home. They're close
quartered, but the B&B's strategic location between the Walker Art Center and Uptown
compensates.
Minneapolis International Hostel HOSTEL$

) A cool old building with antique furniture and wood floors, and the location be-
side the Minneapolis Institute of Arts is excellent. But it's also not very well tended. The
rooms come in a variety of configurations, from a 15-bed male dorm to private rooms
with en suite bath.

) Aloft's compact, efficiently designed, industrial-toned rooms draw a younger
clientele. The clubby lobby has board games, a cocktail lounge and 24-hour snacks.
There's a tiny pool and decent fitness room. Parking costs $15.
