concerts. While there, check out the sculpture of Joe Louis' mighty fist.
People Mover MONORAIL

ated tracks around downtown won't get you very far. As a tourist attraction, it's a sweet
ride providing great views of the city and riverfront.
Heidelberg Project ART INSTALLATION
( www.heidelberg.org ; 3600 Heidelberg St; sunrise-sunset) Polka-dotted streets,
houses covered in Technicolor paint blobs, strange sculptures in yards - this is no acid
trip, but rather a block-spanning neighborhood art installation. It's the brainchild of street
artist Tyree Guyton, who wanted to beautify his run-down community. A 2013 fire
burned much of the project, but Guyton has vowed to keep it open and turn what remains
into art once again.
Get here by taking Gratiot Ave northwest to Heidelberg St; the project spans from
Ellery to Mt Elliott Sts.
Riverwalk & Dequindre Cut WALKING, CYCLING
( www.detroitriverfront.org ) The city's swell riverfront path runs for 3 miles along the churn-
ing Detroit River from Hart Plaza east to Mt Elliott St, passing several parks, outdoor
