Comedy
Improv comedy began in Chicago, and the city still nurtures the best in the business.
Second City COMEDY
( 312-337-3992; www.secondcity.com ; 1616 N Wells St; Brown or Purple Line to Sedgwick) It's
the cream of the crop, where Bill Murray, Stephen Colbert, Tina Fey and many more
honed their wit. Bargain: turn up after the evening's last show (Friday excluded) and
watch the comics improv a performance for free.

major improv house. It's scheduled to move to new, larger digs at 1501 N Kingsbury St
(in Lincoln Park) in late 2014.
Sports
Chicago Cubs BASEBALL
( www.cubs.com ; 1060 W Addison St; Red Line to Addison) The Cubs last won the World Ser-
ies in 1908, but that doesn't stop fans from coming out to see them. Part of the draw is at-
mospheric, ivy-walled Wrigley Field, which dates from 1914. The raucous bleacher seats
are the most popular place to sit. No tickets? Peep through the 'knothole,' a garage-door-
sized opening on Sheffield Ave, to watch the action for free.
