Beach Chalet
BREWERY, BAR
Microbrews with views: sunsets over the Pacific upstairs, a backyard bar, and Lucien
Labaudt's recently restored 1930s WPA frescoes downstairs showing a condensed history
of San Francisco. Backyard Park Chalet hosts Sunday 'Recovery Brunch Buffets' with bot-
tomless champagne ($27.50), plus Wednesday-to-Friday happy hours (3pm to 6pm).

Tommy's Mexican Restaurant
Welcome to SF's temple of tequila since 1965. Tommy's serves enchiladas to legitimize
day-drinking until 7pm, when margarita pitchers with blanco, reposado or aƱejo tequila
rule. Cuervo Gold is displayed 'for educational purposes' - it doesn't meet Tommy's strict
criteria of unadulterated 100% agave, aged in small barrels. Luckily for connoisseurs, 211
tasty tequilas do.

Hollow
Between simple explanations and Golden Gate Park, there's Hollow: cultish Ritual coffee
and Guinness cupcakes served amid art-installation displays of magnifying glasses, beard
balm and robot tea-strainers. There are a couple of marble tables indoors but there's a soci-
able curb outside, plus more arty shopping in the next-door annex.
