Mellow out in the Zen Garden, sip toasted-rice green tea and admire doll-sized trees that
are pushing 100 years old. These bonsai are a credit to the Hagiwara family gardeners,
who returned from WWII Japanese American internment camps to discover their bonsai
were sold. The Hagiwaras spent two decades tracking down the trees and returning them
to their rightful home. (
