13.4.1 business Study
Two teams, one in Sri Lanka and the other in Tamil Nadu, engaged in this
process where team members were a mix of health domain professionals
and technology professionals. The Indian team comprised members from
the National Centre for Biological Sciences and the Indian Institute of
Technology-Chennai's Rural Technology and Business Incubator. The team
in Sri Lanka comprised members from Sarvodaya Shramadana Society, Post
Graduate Institute of Medicine, and LIRNE asia .
Each team discussed the RTBP with the national-, state-, and district-level
health officials. At the same time, they learned of the present disease sur-
veillance and notification systems that are functioning. Through this con-
sultation process the teams developed a set of reference content (notes). The
document, known as the Preliminary Business Study, was communicated to
all the project partners.
13.4.2 Conceptual Design
Each partner was provided with an agenda to define the conceptual design
for their technology and process contributions. A partner planning meeting
