In-Depth Information
when you should use sports or kids mode for a fast shutter speed, or pump
up the ISO setting to simulate shooting with faster 'film'.
196. When changing the ISO setting on your camera try not to go past ISO400-
especially if your camera is NOT an SLR. After ISO400, many cheaper
cameras start to introduce 'digital noise' in the image. Instead of a nice
blackskyatnight,yourskywillbemostlyblackwithred,green,blue,and
white pixels mixed in. Youcan get away with higher ISOsettings using an
SLR. For best results, try out your camera in all sorts of conditions before
the trip so you can see exactly what it is capable of doing for you.
197. Don't try to take flash pictures on indoor attractions where they are pro-
hibited. This is common for indoor attractions in the dark such as The
Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean. Most of the scenery will
be out of the range of your flash, so the pictures won't come out that great
anyway. You'll also risk ruining the experience for everyone around you
as your fire off your gamma-ray flash trying to get the perfect shot.
Use a higher shutter speed on indoor attractions like “The Great Movie Ride” at Holly-
wood Studios
